CAP offers a unique and practical solution through debt counselling, financial education, budgeting and insolvency services. Our work has already released many families from debt. CAP is available for anyone without discrimination.

If some unforseen circumstances have blown your budgeting ‘out of the water’ and you need some assistance in determining strategies that will get you back ‘on your feet’, then our budget counsellor can also assist.

Do things have to be really bad before I see a budget counsellor?
No in fact the earlier you make an appointment the better. The sooner you see someone the sooner your finances will be back where you want them to be.

I am single - Am I eligible to see a budget counsellor?
By all means. Whether you are single, with a partner, have a family or even sharing a household with others you would be welcome to access this service. Basically whoever has responsibility for household income & expenditure should be part of these sessions.

Does it cost anything to see the counsellors? No this is a free service.

How do I arrange an appointment?
Contact can be made with a CAP counsellor by contacting us for an appointment. All clients are visited in their homes at a time that is convenient. The counsellor will then assess your situation and determine the best way forward.
